ill always admire kurt cobain because he played music he loved to play and never did anything so he would be more popular in the public eye he hated being famous and he was tried of doing things for the record company he felt like his life was no longer his so he wanted it to be over i wish he was still here but he would never have been happy thanks for the amazing music kurt

“I don’t remember, were we wild and young
All that’s faded into memory
I feel like somebody I don’t know
Are we really who we used to be
Am I really who I was
The lights will draw you in
And the dark will bring you down
And the night will break your heart
Only if you’re lucky now”-ryan adams

everyone’s fine if you ask ‘em

John Mayer fans read:
sorry i just really felt like i needed to say this some where
i just listened to john mayer’s interview on npr and i just have to say what an amazing guy i mean i have always loved john mayer and his music but i never liked him as a person i always thought he was a cocky bastard but i ignored that because he wrote amazing music and i looked up to him as a guitar player myself hoping that one day i could play like him so i would tell myself to ignore his personality and focus on the music but when battle studies came out i was like what the fuck happened to john mayer now he doesnt even have a reason to be cocky anymore this album is shit compared to continum or heavier things and i was really curious what made him write an album like battle studies not all of the songs on battle studies are bad its just not john mayer’s best work and i think fans and critics were expecting a lot more out of his new album so i started reading more interviews and learning more about john mayer so i could understand what made him write an album like battle studies and i do this with a lot of artists because i think song writing is really interesting and i always wondering what was going on in the artists life at the time when he or she wrote the song and what inspired them to use that chord progression or say that instead of this i just love the whole thought process of it all anyway so i was reading up on john mayer wondering what was going on with one of my favorite singers and i didnt really find much out i read some interviews where john would just say the weirdest things and i kept wondering what does this have to do with his music and i didnt really learn much about his song writing and i was pretty disappointed then i remember seeing him on the cover of rolling stone while i was in the airport and i thought to myself awesome he must talk about battle studies in there and why he wrote those songs but after i read the interview i thought less of john mayer as a person and a musician because he was cocky, rude and even made odd racial comments through out the whole interview there was barely anything in there about his music and it just made me fall out of love with john mayer and his music sorta stopped speaking to me i guess about a year before born and raised was released i heard that he was going to be releasing a new album in late spring of 2012 and i was like i better give him another chance and im glad i did because he has grown up alot in his interview with npr he talks about how when he was 23 he was the cool guy to meet at the party and he quickly became way to famous and he got caught up in it all john says in the interview that he has always been a control freak and he always wanted everyone to like him and his music carrer became less about music and more about wanting people to like him so he gave so really crappy interviews to rolling stone and playboy hoping to say what people wanted to hear and now he realizes that people just wanted to hear the truth about his music he said in his interview with npr that born and raised is all about him growing up and realizing that he needed to make a change because he really didnt like the person he was becoming i love born and raised because the album is so honest and if you really listen to what john is saying you can tell he is talking to himself saying: “you better wise up boy” and “im a good man with a good heart had a tough time got a rough start but i finally learned to let it go” i hate that people are saying how they dont like this album ive read so many reviews from fans saying i love john mayer and ive always been a huge fan but i was expecting way more out of him what happened to the guy who wrote contiumn SHUT THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE the guy who wrote continum is right there he just grew up he stopped being a cocky asshole and said to himself i have to write something real for myself instead of writing something that i know will make me famous for fans because i know thats what they want also life is short he wants to try a different style of writing and new haircut he should be allowed to do that without his so called loyal and long time fans hating on him get over it there can only be one continumn that album is amazing but its not all john mayer has to offer in his music carrer im sure critics and fans will look back on john mayer’s carrer when he dies or whatever and say yup continumn was john mayer’s best album but its not his only good one in this interview with npr you can tell that john did some real thinking while writing born and raised and he grew up and looked himself in the mirror and told himself quit being a cocky asshole your not the best and it is impossible to get everyone in the world to like you and your music so forget about it and write for yourself and start making music for anybody who wants to hear it no matter who that is so i just wanna say FUCK YOU to all those john mayer fans and critics out there saying that born and raised is no good and it will never compare to continumn and john mayer’s carrer is over just SHUT UP he is an amazing singer and songwriter and he always will be that is never going to change so what if his sound is a little different or he has longer hair and a new look support him your his loyal fan give his album a real true listen and dont just listen to the 30 second sinpets on itunes i mean really listen and try to put yourself in his shoes because you may start to understand what he was trying to accomplish when writing born and raised and if you do that and you still dont like his album then fine at least you gave it a shot sorry im getting so worked up about this i just really hate reading reviews from fans and seeing them say i hate john mayer now this album is shit because its not this album is amazing i love it so much because i have always loved johns singing songwriting and guitar playing but i never liked his personality until now and im happy that i can finally say that i have respect for one of my favorite musicians of all time sooo fuck you haters thank you john mayer for writing such an honest and wonderful album i love finally getting to see who you are
the npr interview is really worth listening to even if your not a huge john mayer fan you can find it here: npr.org/music just click on interviews at the top and john mayer’s is on theree
